Description: Situated on a hilltop by the River Gilão in Tavira and part of an ultra modern development, this apartment offers the perfect holiday retreat. The community of exclusive apartments and townhouses surround the manicured gardens and pool areas, including a children's pool and play area, decking lawned areas with plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas. Watch the sun set over Tavira and at nightfall the gardens and pool glow in the soft illumination of the garden lights. For evenings out simple take the steps down the side of the hill to the river where traditional restaurants and bars decorate the banks and families take a stroll after dinner. The beach of Tavira is on the Island and boats to take you across the lagoon to the 'Isla' cruise the River Gilão through out the year. Tavira Island is totally unspoilt, has excellent restaurants and long stretches of sandy beaches. For the more adventures you can hire a bike in Tavira and a short cycle along the river takes you to "Pego do Inferno" (Hell Hole! So named, as allegedly there is no bottom to the plunge pool) and despite its name, is a gorgeous waterfall and lagoon where you can swim.

churches where the doors are open for visitors and residents alike. Christmas sees the city festooned in twinkling lights and New Year is enjoyed with a firework display over the river. Tavira has a temperate climate so sitting with a "galão" (milky coffee) in the sunshine can be enjoyed any time of the year.
For golf lovers there is a plethora of golf courses to choose from, e.g. Benamor, Quinta da Ria, Quinta de Cima and Castro Marim or the new Monte Rei Course is a first class addition for the Eastern Algarve.

Beautiful contemporary 2 bedroom apartment in Cabanas Oceanview with garage, pool, Wifi and magnificent views of the Ria Formosa lagoon towards the ocean.This brand new apartment consists of a hallway leading to a good sized living room with open plan kitchen with breakfast bar & dining area. Access from the living room onto a south facing semi-covered terrace with table and chairs & sun loungers. From here you have direct access to the large fenced swimming pool.
All amenties are within walking distance. There are many restaurants and cafes to choose from, all only a few minutes away. No need for a car, but if you would like to do some sightseeing there are many nice places to visit both on the coast as well as the hinterland. For access to the beach of Cabanas you need to cross the Ria Formosa Natural Reserve Park. This is a tidal lagoon with beautiful scenery. There are small boats to croos the water for a small charge and they work all day until the nigh falls.
If you do not have or do not want to drive during your holiday, you find that there are many taxis at low prices to get you where you want. In addition there is a train station about a 10-12 minute walk from the apartment which runs all the way from Faro to Vila Real (border with Spain).1 review -
Comfortable, Home away from Home, penthouse apartment in Cabanas Beach Club, perfect for families, pool, beach and golf holidays. The property has access to the communal pool and is centrally located with all amenities within walking distance. A car is recommended but not essential. The train, boat, taxi and bus are all within a 10 minutes walk. The nearest supermarket for fresh bread, fruit and milk just a 2 minutes walk.
Cabanas de Tavira is a former fishing village, about 3 Km from Tavira to the East, which is known for its beautiful and clean beaches (Blue Flag) and friendly atmosphere. The waterfront has recently been renovated and you can walk all along the lagoon passing shops, bars and excellent restaurants facing the Ria Formosa Nature Park. To get to the beach you need to take a 3 minute boat ride to pass the lagoon. Over the boardwalk you get to a kilometres long stretch of white sandy beach, only busy in summer. There are several beaches and golf courses within a few minutes drive and the town center of Tavira is only 5 minutes drive away.
The apartment is located in the heart of Cabanas de Tavira, in a beautiful development called Cabanas Beach Club, which is only 150 meter from the water front and boardwalk. The accommodation has an meditereanian ambiance and has an airy feel to it. It is situated on the top floor with private terraces and composed of a hallway with storage facilities leading to the spacious living room with dining area and fully equipped open plan kitchen, two double bedrooms with built-in wardrobes and two bathrooms (master bedroom with en-suite bathroom). Access from both the kitchen and living room to a good size private terrace with table and chairs. The apartment and the communal pool are surrounded by beautiful and mature gardens with lawn areas for sunbathing. The apartment is fitted with air conditioning in the living room and both bedrooms, TV (with Portuguese TV channels only). Suitable for winter letting. No smoking allowed inside the apartment and pets are only allowed after written confirmation from the property management agent. There is plenty of parking space for your car and bicycles can also be rented nearby.
